Anti-Semites at Pisa University
Here's what happens in Italy:

Israel embassy advisor, Shai Cohen, was sent away from the conference hall of Political Science Faculty of Pisa University, because of a squadrist action by a group of "pacifist" students who sent a violent message, at least in words: "Out of this hall, else our verbal violence will turn into physical."

Cohen had to give a lecture on the subject "Israel, The Only Democracy in Middle East".

"Sharon murder, Israel killer, Zionism is a crime against humanity", were some of slogans of protesters, Cohen told the newspaper "Il Foglio". Chants from outside were heard in the conference hall. "A group of more than twenty people started yelling at me: fascist, murder, and other personal insults I wish not to repeat".
(...)
"Either you take him away or we'll stay here. This Israeli won't open his mouth". "We aren't anti-Semites, but anti-Zionists – the protesters remarked – Israel has no right to exist".
(...)
The faculty principal, Alberto Massera, took the microphone and announced: everybody go home, guest included.

Here other coverage on this piece of news.
And here, where it's reminded what happened in Pisa two years ago:

In April 2002 a little rally of Italian Jews who celebrated Israel Day was aggresed and insulted as "assassins" by pro-palestinian militants.

Pisa University provost Marco Pasquali condemned the aggression.

In Livorno (near to Pisa), local representatives of all political parties except Rifondazione Comunista party expressed their solidarity to Cohen.

UPDATE (10/27/2004): official statement by Pisa University:
the University condemns the accident and invites Professor Cohen again to give the lecture he couldn't give on October 16.
